Eliminate the back-and-forth and get a precise quote on your first call - even if you've never hired a contractor before.
If you’ve ever called a contractor and gotten vague pricing, no-show appointments, or surprise add-ons… you’re not alone. Whether you’re protecting a newly built home in Breakfast Point or upgrading a fixer-upper in Lynn Haven, this checklist helps you take control of your gutter project. No roofing knowledge needed — just practical steps to get a professional quote the first time you call.

Why Use This Checklist?
This 8-point checklist ensures your contractor has all the details they need to give you a precise, professional quote the first time you reach out. What Your Getting
No more “ballpark quotes” that change once they see the job
No more guessing what questions to ask your contractor
No more wondering if you’re getting overcharged
Peace of mind with accurate pricing before they even visit
- Go to Google Maps and enter your home's address. Change to layer to satellite.
- Right-click on the first corner where the gutter will begin “Measure distance.”
- Click along the roofline ONLY where gutters will be installed.
- Add points at every corner or change of direction (typically 45° angles). This will ensure miters are accounted for.
- Continue clicking until you reach the end of the gutter run.
- Look at the measurement box in the bottom panel — this gives you the total linear feet needed for that gutter section.
